Weena Pun is the author of Kanchhi (2024), a novel available in the Indian Subcontinent (Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka), Singapore and Malaysia from Hachette India. She lives in Baltimore, Maryland, and is at work on her second novel.
Weena is a graduate of Stanford University and the MFA program in creative writing at Cornell University. Her other writings, mostly reportage and non-fiction from when she was a journalist, can be found in The Kathmandu Post, Himal Southasian, The Record, [wherever] magazine, Words without Borders, La.Lit and House of Snow: An anthology of the greatest writing about Nepal, among other publications.
